Lantau Island

Hong Kong is known for its expensive skyline and deep natural harbour, also as one of the world’s leading international financial centres. Every day thousands and hundreds of people go to there for business or vacation, they all love the cuisines and big shopping malls, but little except the locals know lots of picturesque villages on the seashore and excellent nature parks in the outskirts of the city.
By chance I had spent some days with friends in a small village on Lantau Island, where was really idyllic and tranquil, and the villagers were friendly and reasonable. During our stay on the island the weather was cloudy and misty, I am planning to go again on my next holiday, hope it will be sunny. 🙂
